Description
White velvet with a fur border, sealed under clear glass. Design #651 is one of the richer boards in the line, and the two textures do different jobs: the velvet holds a soft, matte white in the field, and the fur trim frames it with a genuinely different surface — long, shadowed, and unmistakable even from across a lit room. Both are protected under the top, so neither can be crushed, stained or worn.
At 16 by 11 inches the board carries two full challos with the knife alongside. The white is more practical here than it would be on cloth, because nothing white is actually exposed: what you serve on and cut over is glass, and the velvet and fur underneath stay exactly as they arrived. A damp cloth is all the maintenance there is.
