Description
The glass is etched first and then painted by hand in oven-safe color, lettered Elijah's Cup in Hebrew beside a dove. Paint laid over etching gives the letters a slightly raised, uneven edge that a printed glass never has, and the etching stays visible through the color.
This is the cup poured and set at the center of the Seder table, waiting through the meal until the door is opened toward the end of the night. Since each glass is etched and painted individually, small differences in the lettering and in the dove are part of what you get.
