Description
The jeweled enamel hedgehog on this case started out as a brooch. It has been lifted off its pin and set onto a silver aluminum mezuzah case, surrounded by rhinestones and other repurposed jewelry. The case measures 6.5 by .5 inches and weighs about 2 ounces.
Because the source pieces are found rather than manufactured to match, the stones and the small metal bits vary from one case to the next. It is a good fit for a child's bedroom door or any interior doorpost that could use something less severe than plain metal.
