Description
The Brown Linen Kippah with Tan Linen Rim is a four-panel yarmulke for men and boys, offered in 12 sizes at $9.99. The crown is a dark cocoa brown linen with a smooth, even weave, and the rim is a very light natural linen. The rim is closer to off-white or pale oatmeal than to a true tan, which gives this kippah the strongest light-dark contrast of the brown linens. The range includes size 7 and clip-loop versions of the 16 and 18 cm flats. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

- Boys who need a clip-loop flat that stays put
- Men with size 7 heads who like brown
- A crisp, outlined look without using black
Not the right choice if
- You want a rim that hides dust; pale linen shows wear
- You were expecting a darker, caramel-tan rim
- Your community wears black kippot
- You want a formal velvet finish
Why customers choose it
The appeal is contrast: a deep brown crown with a nearly cream edge looks sharp and summery, the way a brown suede shoe looks with a white sole. It has one of the broadest fit ranges among the brown linens, which makes it easy to match father and son. Buyers should know the rim is pale, so it needs a little more care to stay clean.

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
Is the rim tan or white?
It is a very pale natural linen, close to off-white or light oatmeal rather than a mid tan.
Which flats come with clips on this brown kippah?
The 16 cm and 18 cm flats are each offered in a plain version and a clip-loop version. There is also a plain 20 cm flat.
How dark is the brown crown?
A deep cocoa brown, darker than the camel-rim brown and close to the dark brown linen.
How do I keep the light rim clean?
Dab marks with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap as soon as you see them, then let the kippah dry flat.
What occasions suit this kippah?
Summer Shabbos, outdoor simchas, vacations and everyday wear. It is less suited to a strictly black-kippah setting.
