Description
The Fire Rescue Kippah is a four-panel cream cotton yarmulke printed with small red fire engines, sold in 7 sizes (dome 1 to 5 plus 16cm and 18cm flat) at $9.99. Each engine is drawn in red with grey wheels and a grey ladder on top, set at different angles all over an off-white ground. Tucked between them are grey ladders, coiled hoses, dark red hydrants, orange-and-white cones and small firefighter helmets. The rim is a band of the same print. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fire Rescue (cream) (this one) | Printed cotton | Year-round, lighter look | Playful | Classic red fire engines on a light background |
| Fire Engine Cotton Yarmulke / Kippah for Boys | Printed cotton | Year-round | Playful | Bigger hydrants, helmets and ladders on teal |
| Fire Truck Kippah – Fire Zone Navy Cotton Yarmulke | Printed cotton | Year-round | Playful | Bigger fire trucks, flames and cones on mid-navy |
Best for
- A fire-truck-loving boy who needs a light, summery kippah
- Brothers matching in dome sizes 1 to 5
- A teen or dad joining in with a 16cm or 18cm flat
- Purim with a firefighter costume
Not the right choice if
- Messy play; cream shows dirt faster than navy
- A size 6 or larger adult head
- Formal Shabbos or simcha wear
- A child who wants police cars and ambulances too
Why customers choose it
Red fire engines are the most-asked-for vehicle print, and this one keeps them classic: small red trucks with ladders on a clean cream background. The light ground makes the red pop and suits spring and summer outfits. The engines are small and evenly spread, so the kippah looks neat rather than cartoon-heavy. Flat 16cm and 18cm sizes mean an older brother or father can wear it too.
Size guide
| Size | Typical fit |
|---|---|
| 1 | Toddler, roughly 2–3 years |
| 2 | Young child, roughly 4–5 years |
| 3 | Child, roughly 6–7 years |
| 4 | Older child, roughly 8–10 years |
| 5 | Teen and most adult men — the most-ordered size |
| 16cm Flat | Flat style, 16 cm across — typically child |
| 18cm Flat | Flat style, 18 cm across — typically teen to adult |
Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
What is the background colour?
A warm cream or off-white. The fire engines are bright red with grey details.
Is this the same as the Fire Escape Kippah?
No. Fire Escape uses large hydrants, helmets and ladders on teal. Fire Rescue has many small fire engines on cream.
Does it come in adult sizes?
Size 5 fits most teens and men, and the 16cm and 18cm flat sizes suit adults who like a flatter kippah. There is no size 6.
How do I keep the cream background clean?
Spot-clean marks quickly with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then dry flat away from sun.
Would it work for a Purim firefighter costume?
Yes. The red engines, ladders and helmets match a firefighter outfit well, so it finishes the costume nicely.
