Description
The Map of Israel Kippah is a black four-panel linen yarmulke for men and boys, embroidered with the outline of Israel and offered in 9 sizes at $9.99. The map sits on the front panel in white thread. Inside the outline, bold Hebrew letters spell “Am Yisrael Chai,” with the same words in small English capitals running down the southern end of the map. The rest of the kippah is plain black linen with a self-fabric rim. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Map of Israel – Black Linen (this one) | Black linen | Year-round, lightweight | Casual to smart casual | High contrast white map on black |
| Map of Israel Kippah – Tan Linen Yarmulke | Tan linen | Year-round, lightweight | Casual | The same map in black thread on a light crown |
| Israel Strong Kippah – Black Linen Yarmulke | Black linen | Year-round, lightweight | Casual | A text slogan instead of the map outline |
Best for
- Israel solidarity rallies and Yom Ha'atzmaut events
- Trips to Israel and school Israel days
- A gift for a boy or man who wants to show support for Israel
- Everyday wear where a black base is expected but a design is allowed
Not the right choice if
- Your school bans embroidered or slogan kippot
- You want a plain kippah for formal davening
- You wanted the design on a light crown; see the tan version
- You need a size 7 or larger
Why customers choose it
The design does two jobs at once: the outline makes it recognisable as a map of Israel from across the room, and the lettering inside turns it into a statement of Am Yisrael Chai. White thread on black linen gives the strongest contrast of the two map colourways. The base is ordinary black linen, so it still sits comfortably with a white shirt and dark trousers.
