Custom Leather Siddur & Tehillim Cover, Design #1320
Pickup at both Lakewood stores
Description
Design #1320 worked in leather, made up as a cover for a siddur or a Tehillim. The pattern is understated — this is a leather piece rather than an embroidered one, so what you are looking at is the material itself, clean panels and stitching, in the same #1320 layout used on the custom tallis and tefillin bags.
A Tehillim gets opened at odd hours and carried to places a sefer was never meant to go: a hospital corridor, the back of a car, a kiddush. That is exactly what a leather cover is for. It takes the knocks so the binding does not, and it keeps the sefer closed and clean at the bottom of a bag. Ordered instead for a siddur, it does the same job three times a day, every day.
The real argument for #1320 is that it does not stop here. The identical design is made up as a tallis bag and a tefillin bag, so a man can carry one pattern across everything he brings to shul. Ordering the pieces together is the only way to be sure the leather and the shaping line up.
