Description
Cut as a six-pointed star from solid hardwood, this tray is hand-painted with a lotus opening from the center in acrylic. The face is finished with a hard sealant and the sides and underside get a coat of polyurethane, which is what keeps the wood from cracking along the points.
It serves as a centerpiece tray for challah rolls or fruit, and stands upright against a wall the rest of the week. Every star is painted individually, so the petals and the color balance are never quite repeated.
