Description
The #7072 body with gold handles — a different profile from the #7070 and #7071 cups in the same lucite range, at the same working dimensions of 4 7/8 inches tall and 5 inches across including the handles. Clear acrylic throughout, with the gold confined to the two handles so the cup stays visually light on whatever it stands on.
Netilas yadayim at a sink and negel vasser at a bedside are both served by this size. Just under five inches of height holds enough water for the full sequence without a refill, which is the practical test of a wash cup and the one most decorative cups fail. Two handles let it be picked up and poured with either hand, wet.
Lucite has quietly replaced silver and stainless on most bathroom counters. It is light, it does not corrode from constant contact with water, and it does not leave the marks a metal base leaves on a wooden vanity over time. Gold handles keep it from looking purely utilitarian.
