Description
The hexagon cut is what separates #7073 from the rest of the lucite range. The body is faceted rather than round, so the acrylic catches and bends light along each edge and the cup throws small reflections instead of sitting as a plain clear cylinder. Gold handles on either side. It stands 4 7/8 inches tall and reaches 5 inches across including them.
Faceted lucite does something a plain body cannot: it disguises the water line and the fingerprints that any clear cup collects over a week of daily use. On a bathroom counter that is a genuine advantage. The dimensions are the standard working ones — enough capacity for netilas yadayim without going back to the tap, and a width a hand can close around comfortably.
Between the gold and silver versions of #7073, gold is the one that suits a warm bathroom with brass or bronze fixtures. It is also the more common choice when the cup is bought as a chosson present or brought to a chanukas habayis.
