Description
Design #7074 pairs the clear lucite body with matte gold handles — the same warm colour as the polished gold versions but with the shine taken out of it. A brushed finish reads as more restrained and, practically speaking, does not show fingerprints the way a mirror-polished handle does after a week on a bathroom counter. The cup stands 4 7/8 inches high and 5 inches across including both handles.
Matte metal has become the standard on new bathroom fittings, and this is the wash cup that goes with them. If the taps and towel bars in the room are brushed brass or matte gold, a polished cup sits awkwardly next to them and this one does not.
Working dimensions are unchanged from the rest of the range: enough capacity to complete netilas yadayim in one filling, and a grip on both sides so it can be handled while wet. The clear body still shows the water level, which is the small practical reason lucite beats an opaque cup at a bedside.
