Description
The #7072 profile finished with silver handles. Same clear lucite construction as the rest of the range and the same working measurements — 4 7/8 inches of height, 5 inches across including the handles — with the shape of the body being what sets this design apart from #7070 and #7071 alongside it.
Silver handles keep it neutral, and neutral is what most people want from a cup that stands out on a counter every day of the year. It does not date, it goes with chrome and nickel fittings, and it does not look wrong on a bedside table in a room with any colour scheme at all.
This is one of the easier things to give. A chosson setting up a home needs a wash cup and rarely thinks to buy one for himself, and the same is true of a couple furnishing a first apartment. Lucite takes a knock that would finish a glass cup, which makes it a safer present than ceramic and a more practical one than plated silver that will want polishing within the year.
