Description
Navy ground with the 145 design embroidered across it and sterling crystal accents worked into the stitching. The pattern spreads over the face of the cover rather than sitting in a central medallion, so the navy shows through as a field between the embroidered elements. It is a traditional-looking cover, the kind that has been on Shabbos tables for years without going out of style.
Sizes are small at 14.5x17.5, medium at 15.5x19.5 and large at 19.5x23.5. Navy hides handling better than white or ivory, which makes the smaller sizes practical for a table with young children where the cover gets pulled at every week. The large is the choice for a full board and a table set for company.
If you keep more than one cover — a heavier one for Yom Tov, a working one for ordinary Shabbosim — this is a good candidate for the second slot. It is substantial enough to look right on its own and dark enough that it does not demand careful handling.
