Scalloped Crushed Velvet Challah Cover in Ivory and Grey #610

Ivory and grey crushed velvet in a scalloped design, embedded with Swarovski crystal elements. Two tones of the same fabric mean the scallops read as light and shade rather than as a color contrast, and the crystals follow the curves. Grey against ivory sits well on a table already set in silver, and it looks contemporary without abandoning the shape of a traditional cover.

Made in the large size only, 19.5 by 23.5. That is the full-board dimension, drapes past the challos on every side, and gives the scalloped edge the length it needs to read as a curve rather than a series of bumps. On a shorter board the drape simply runs deeper, which suits this fabric well.

A challah board is made in the same 610 design, and there is a matzah cover too. The board is the piece to add first — the scalloped pattern repeats on it, and lifting the cover to reveal the same design underneath is precisely the point of buying a matched set.
