Description
A tri-fold table card, design 215, worked with cutouts through the printed panels so the artwork reads in layers rather than flat on the page. Folded it measures four and a quarter inches by four and three quarters, in a matte finish, which gives it a square, upright proportion that sits well among the dishes.
This one is bought as much for the table as for the text. The cutouts mean it functions as part of the Yom Tov setting, standing between the simanim rather than lying beside a plate, and the matte finish keeps it from glaring under the candles. Nusach is Ashkenaz.
Design 215 also runs on tallis and tefillin bags in the Malchut range, which is the kind of connection worth knowing about if the same design is already in the house. It is inexpensive enough to put one at every place for a table of twenty five, and the decorative work is the reason people tend to keep them rather than clear them away with the dishes.
