Description
White velvet in the 1025 design. White is the Yomim Noraim colour, and a white shofar bag beside a white paroches and a white kittel is a deliberate choice rather than an accident of taste — it is bought by men who keep a separate set for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and put the black one away for those two weeks.
Sizes are small at 13 by 10 inches and medium at 16 by 10.5. Measure the horn before ordering. The lengths on shofars are ranges rather than exact figures, so a horn sold as fifteen to seventeen inches may turn out to be either, and the medium bag covers both where the small covers only one of them.
The same 1025 number is cut as a tallis and tefillin bag and as a megillah case. Ordering the white shofar bag together with a white tallis bag in the same design is the usual way this gets bought, and the two sit on a shtender clearly belonging to each other.
