Description
Design 1080 in black velvet, embroidered. It is one of the roomier shofar bags in the line, and the medium at 16 by 10.5 inches has genuine width across the bell end — which is exactly where most shofar bags run tight and where a wide-flared horn gets stuck on the way in.
The small, at 13 by 10 inches, is for the shorter horns: nine to eleven, eleven to thirteen, and the mini sizes a child uses. The medium is for anything from fifteen inches up. Velvet is forgiving, but a shofar pushed hard into a bag that is too small wears at the mouthpiece while the bag wears at the seam, and neither is worth saving a couple of inches for.
1080 also runs as a tallis and tefillin bag, so the shofar bag can be ordered to match one already in daily use. For most men that is the reason to choose one design number over another in the first place.
