Description
Embroidered white velvet, design 1026. The embroidery is worked into the white ground, which gives it a quieter effect than the same pattern would have on black: the design shows through texture and thread rather than through contrast, and the result is cleaner for Rosh Hashanah.
Small is 13 by 10 inches; medium is 16 by 10.5. A horn of nine to thirteen inches is comfortable in the small, and from fourteen inches upward the medium is what you want. Velvet gives a little, but the bag should close without strain on the seam, since the point of it is to stop the horn knocking against everything else in a tallis bag or in the boot of a car.
Design 1026 also runs as a tallis and tefillin bag. Men who already daven with the 1026 bag tend to add the shofar bag to match it rather than starting a second design number from scratch.
