Description
X-Large Shamashim
The shamash is supposed to be distinguishable from the eight lights, and height is the simplest way to do it. These are the extra-large size, taller and more substantial than the standard, so the ninth light reads clearly as the servant candle from across the room and there is no question about which flame is which.
It also has a practical side. The shamash is the light you actually pick up and use to kindle the others, so a larger one is easier to hold and steadier while you work down the row on the eighth night with nine flames going.
Ner Mitzvah, shelved with the oil menorah supplies at Judaica Square. Free shipping over $75, 15-day returns, and stores at 1105 East County Line Road and 1328 River Avenue in Lakewood.
