Description
Camel antique leather with a fur trim, design #1547, cut for the Mesivta haggadah. The fur is the difference between this and the plain leather version — it runs as a trim on the cover rather than as a lining, and it puts the piece firmly in the dress category. Against camel the effect is warm rather than stark, and the antique finish underneath keeps the leather from looking new and hard.
Made in one version for the Mesivta volume, so nothing needs to be specified. This is the cover for a man who has a good haggadah and wants it to look like it belongs at the head of the table, and it is regularly bought as a chosson gift for the same reason. Fur trim wants to be kept away from the wine and the salt water, so it suits a place setting with some room at it.
#1547 runs across machzor covers, siddur covers, zemiros booklet covers and chanukah pieces. The grey Kaftor with fur is the women's counterpart in the same number, which makes this a straightforward pair to buy for a couple rather than a single item.
