Tehillim HaMeforash, Antique Brown Leather Cover, 5x7

The 5x7 HaMeforash Tehillim in brown antique leather. Brown is the plainer of the two finishes — a deep, uneven saddle tone with no metallic cast — and it is what people choose when they want the sefer to sit quietly on a shelf rather than announce itself.

HaMeforash means the explanation runs alongside the perakim, so a posuk that has always gone by in a blur can be worked through properly. Anyone saying a daily kepitel, or the whole sefer across Shabbos, gets considerably more out of this edition than out of a plain text.

At 5x7 this is a one-hand sefer. It goes into a jacket pocket, sits on a shtender without crowding a siddur, and stands up to being carried every day for years. It is a standard and well-received gift — for a shiva house, for someone recovering, for a woman who has taken on Tehillim for a specific yeshuah — and the leather cover is what makes it something the recipient keeps rather than replaces the first time a corner goes.
