Description
An embroidered border runs the full edge of this linen-look cover, with sterling crystals set into it and the field in the middle left open. Border designs behave differently from centered ones — the eye follows the perimeter and the challos sitting under the cover become the subject rather than a bump under a pattern. The linen-look ground keeps the whole thing understated.
Cut large at 19.5 by 23.5, medium at 15.5 by 19.5 and small at 14.5 by 17.5. Size matters more here than on most: the border needs to fall clear of the challos, not across them. Measure the loaves and pick the cut that leaves several inches of open field before the embroidery starts.
