Description

An ocean-blue corduroy rim frames the black velvet crown of this $9.99 four-panel yarmulke for men and boys, sold in 5 sizes. The crown is soft black velvet, and the rim is a band of deep teal-blue corduroy with diagonal ribs. The blue leans toward petrol, darker than sky blue and greener than navy, which keeps the accent calm against the black. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping nationwide.

Your community expects a plain black kippah
You need size 6 or a flat cut
You want a pale, sky-blue accent
You want a summer-weight fabric

Why customers choose it

Ocean blue is a clever bridge colour: it is dark enough to sit next to black velvet and blue enough to connect with a navy suit. The ribbed corduroy makes the edge look tailored rather than plain, and because the blue has a slight green cast it also works with grey and charcoal. It is a velvet kippah for people who dress in blues.

Size guide

Size	Typical fit
1	Toddler, roughly 2–3 years
2	Young child, roughly 4–5 years
3	Child, roughly 6–7 years
4	Older child, roughly 8–10 years
5	Teen and most adult men — the most-ordered size

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.

Frequently asked questions

What shade is ocean blue?
A deep teal-blue, sometimes called petrol. It is darker than light blue and has a little green in it.

Does it go with a navy suit?
Yes. The teal-blue rim ties the black crown to navy clothing better than plain black does.

Is the rim corduroy or velvet?
Corduroy, with fine diagonal ribs, which sets it apart from the smooth velvet crown.

How far does the size range go on the ocean blue corduroy-rim velvet?
Sizes 1 to 5. Size 5 suits most adult men.

Are there other corduroy-rim colours?
Yes, forest green and black, on the same black velvet crown.
