Boys Chanukah Kippah, Midnight Blue Menorah Yarmulke

The Midnight Chanukah Kippah is a four-panel slate-blue cotton yarmulke printed with lit menorahs, dreidels and sufganiyot, made in 9 sizes and priced at $9.99. The menorahs are drawn two ways — tall silver branched ones with white candles and squat gold ones — and between them sit spinning dreidels, small clay oil jugs, pink and white iced donuts and scattered gold coins, all on a deep slate-blue ground. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping nationwide.

How this compares

Best for

• Chanukah mesibos, latke parties and the school programme
• Photographs by menorah light — a dark ground holds candlelight better than a pale one
• Boys and men both; the range runs from toddler to a 20cm flat
• A cheap, specific yom tov gift when you need eight of something

Not the right choice if

• You want a kippah for the rest of the year — this is eight days of print
• You want gold and white rather than blue; the collection has other colourways
• You want machine-washable after a night of oil and donuts
• You are looking for a formal kippah for the Chanukah seudah — choose velvet

Why customers choose it

Almost every Chanukah kippah is printed on white, cream or pale blue, which is exactly the wrong choice for a yom tov built around oil, donuts and candle wax. This one is printed on a deep slate blue, so it survives the week and still looks right in the photographs everyone takes at candle-lighting — the silver and gold menorahs pick up the candlelight instead of washing out against it. The print is genuinely detailed: two different menorah styles, dreidels caught mid-spin, clay oil jugs and iced sufganiyot, rather than the same dreidel repeated. It runs to a 20cm flat, so a father can wear the same print as his son.

Size guide

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.

Frequently asked questions

What size Chanukah kippah should I order for a boy of 8?
Size 4 fits most 8 to 10 year olds. Size 3 is right for 6 to 7, and size 5 fits teens and most adult men.

Is this kippah dark enough to wear all Chanukah without showing oil marks?
The slate-blue ground hides far more than a white or cream print does, which is the main reason families choose it. Oil still needs spot cleaning.

What exactly is printed on it?
Silver branched menorahs with white candles, smaller gold menorahs, dreidels, clay oil jugs, iced sufganiyot and gold gelt coins, scattered across every panel and the rim.

Do you sell these in bulk for a class or a mesiba?
Yes — message us on WhatsApp at 732-444-3111 with the number and sizes you need and we will put it together.

Does it come in an adult flat size?
Yes — 16cm, 18cm and 20cm flats, alongside numbered sizes 1 through 6.

How should I clean it after candle-lighting?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap and air dry. Do not machine wash; the print fades and the panels soften.
