Description
Ziseh Chaloimes, Yiddish for sweet dreams, embroidered across a cotton shluf kappel in glow thread so the words stay visible after the light goes off. The Yiddish is the point of this one — it is the phrase a bubbe says at the door, put onto the kappel a child sleeps in. The body is 100% cotton with an elastic band that keeps it seated through the night.
Two sizes: small for ages three to five, medium for ages five to seven. The elastic accommodates a range within each, but if a child sits between sizes take the smaller one, because the loose one comes off. These get washed regularly and cotton takes that without any trouble.
Of the three glow-thread designs, this is the one families pick when the household speaks Yiddish, or when the kappel is going to a grandchild and the phrase means something to the grandparents. It still does the job the others do: it makes a three-year-old want to keep his kappel on at bedtime instead of pulling it straight off.
