Description
A solid teak circle, 15 inches across and a full inch thick, with Shabbat Shalom etched into the face in Hebrew. The board is sealed with food-safe mineral oil, which deepens the grain and leaves the etched letters reading clearly against it.
There is enough weight here that it stays put under a knife, and enough room for two challos and the salt. It holds up as a wedding or new-home gift because it comes out again every Friday night. Teak varies board to board, so the grain and color on this one belong to it alone.
