Mincha Maariv Pocket Booklet in Blue with Silver Pattern #238

Blue is the softest of the four #238 covers. The silver lines cross over a blue ground rather than a black or maroon one, and the effect is lighter and less formal — a booklet that reads well on a table set for a kiddush or a bar mitzvah seudah rather than a somber occasion. Sixty-two pages in a 3 by 4.5 inch paperback.

Three nusachos are printed: Ashkenaz, Sefard and Eduth Mizrach. Pick by the crowd rather than by the host — a booklet handed out at a simcha only gets used if the man holding it can daven from it as it stands, without translating in his head.

Contents run to what a man needs away from a siddur, and the size is what makes that useful: it fits a jacket pocket, a car door, a desk drawer at work. Ordering these in bulk for a simcha is the standard use, and the blue is the one to take if the color scheme of the affair is anything other than dark.
