Four motifs, one in each corner, and an open field between them. That is the whole of design 133 on brocade — genuine Swarovski crystals set into the corner work, and nothing at all in the middle. The restraint is the design: the brocade weave shows through the empty center, and the four corners frame whatever is underneath rather than covering it. On a table where the challah board is worth looking at, that is a real advantage.

Two sizes, small at 15 by 17.5 and medium at 15.5 by 19.5. With a corner design the size choice is about where the corners land — you want them falling clear of the challos, not sitting on the shoulders of the loaves. Measure before ordering if your challos are large.

Malchut makes the same 133 design on navy velvet, and the two versions read very differently. Brocade lifts the corners and keeps the whole cover light; the velvet version is darker and puts more weight behind the crystals.
