Menupatz lishmah describes wool that is combed and prepared for the sake of the mitzvah before a single strand is drawn onto the spindle, and this is the heavier of the two weights Malchut carries in that grade. The packet holds twelve short white strings and four longer ones, every one of them hand spun from 100 percent virgin wool and cut to 60 cm. The hashgacha is Badatz Yerushalayim.

One packet is a complete set for all four corners of a beged, so there is nothing else to gather before sitting down to tie. Thick is the weight to take when the tzitzis are worn under a shirt every single day and tugged at from morning to night; the heavier strand simply survives that handling far longer than a thin one and keeps its shape instead of fraying into wisps by Chanukah. Sixty centimeters leaves comfortable working length whether the beged is a tallis katan or a tallis gadol.
