How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Baseball Dov Bear – Navy Mesh (this one) | Navy mesh | Spring and summer, airy | Casual, sporty | Baseball season, with clip sizes for play |
| Basketball Dov Bear Mesh Yarmulke / Kippah | Navy mesh | Spring and summer, airy | Casual, sporty | The same mesh with a bear holding a basketball |
| Baseball Dov Bear Gray Jersey Yarmulke / Kippah | Gray jersey | Year-round | Casual | A baseball bear on a softer, closed gray jersey |
Best for
- Little Leaguers and boys who collect baseball cards
- Hot summer days at camp or in the park
- Clip sizes that grip during running and sliding
- Pairing with a navy or pinstripe team jersey
Not the right choice if
- You want a smooth, closed fabric; the mesh has visible holes
- A formal occasion that calls for velvet or suede
- Boys who have outgrown an 18cm flat
- A plain kippah with no character
Why customers choose it
The pinstripe uniform, cap and bat make this the most classic of the sports bears, and navy mesh keeps it cool when the sun is out. The embroidery is detailed down to the gold piping and the ball in the glove. Boys who are hard on their kippot tend to like the clip sizes, which help it stay on base to base.

Frequently asked questions
What is the bear wearing?
A white pinstripe baseball uniform with gold trim and a navy cap, with a bat on his shoulder and a ball in his glove.
Is mesh sturdy enough for a boy?
Athletic mesh is the same kind of fabric used in sports jerseys, so it takes rough play well and dries quickly.
What is the difference from the gray jersey baseball bear?
The jersey version uses a closed gray knit that suits cooler weather. This navy mesh is airier and darker.
Which sizes have clips?
The 16cm and 18cm flat sizes are each offered with clips as well as without.
Is it suitable for school?
For schools that allow coloured or character kippot, yes. Check the dress code if your school asks for plain black.
