Krias Shema Laminated Bi-Fold, Silver Star Night Sky #232

The illustration does the work on this one. Silver stars are scattered across a dark night sky, which is a more dramatic treatment than krias shema al hamitah usually gets, and it reads properly at bedtime rather than looking like a daytime page. It is a bi-fold on glossy laminate, 4.5 by 6.25 inches, so it stands up on a nightstand and wipes clean if it is handled with wet hands after negel vasser.

Ashkenaz or Eduth Mizrach are the two nusachos printed. Choose by what is said in the house, since the point of a bi-fold like this is that the words are in front of the person saying them without any page-turning or hunting through a siddur in a dark room.

Lamination is the reason a card like this outlasts a booklet in a child's room. There is no spine to break and no pages to tear, and design #232 stays legible however many years it stays taped inside a closet door or propped against a lamp.
