Description
The darker reading of design 228. The holder is the same small silver trimmed lucite, but the five PU leather zemiros standing in it are brown rather than white, which changes the whole piece. Against a dark wood table or a black and gold setting the brown covers sit properly where white would jump out, and the silver on the holder is enough to keep it from going flat.
Five soft cover benchers rather than ten paperbacks is the same trade the white version makes: fewer copies, but ones that hold their shape and their finish over years of Friday nights. PU leather takes a wipe, which is the practical difference from a paper cover once wine has been on the table.
The text runs from candle lighting and Kiddush through the zemiros of leil Shabbos and Shabbos day to Seder Havdallah, Birchas Hamazon, Sheva Brachos and Al Hamichya, plus songs for any time. Choose Ashkenaz or Edut Mizrach when ordering, and note that design 228 appears on other zemiros booklets in the range if the set needs building out.
