Segulah LeParnassah Bi-Fold Card, Brown Marble with Gold Diamond #127

A two-fold card measuring 6.25 by 4.5 inches, printed on a brown marbled ground with a gold diamond set in the centre of the cover. The marbling gives it depth without a pattern to read, and the diamond is the only ornament — restrained enough that the card looks like it belongs on a dining room table or a desk rather than in a drawer.

Inside is the Segulah LeParnassah. It is a short text, which is exactly why a card works better for it than a page in a sefer: you are not opening anything, and it can be left standing where you will actually see it and say it. People keep one at the place they open the mail or count money, and that proximity is most of the battle.

At a dollar apiece it is bought by the box. Shuls put them out, schools send them home, and organisations include them in a mailing. Bought singly it is the sort of small, sincere thing you give to someone who is having a hard year and would be embarrassed by anything larger.
