Yarmulke Clips in Black, Gold or Silver, Sold by the Dozen

The small metal clip that keeps a yarmulke on a head that is running, bending and playing. These are the durable kind rather than the flimsy ones that lose their spring inside a month, and they come in black, gold and silver so the clip can either disappear into the hair or match the kippah instead of announcing itself.

They are sold by the dozen, which is the honest unit for this item. Clips get lost, left in coat pockets and dropped in the school yard, and a household with boys goes through them faster than anyone expects. A dozen sitting in a drawer means nobody is hunting for one at seven in the morning.

Black is the standard for dark hair and dark kippot. Gold and silver both suit lighter hair and both look intentional on a simcha kippah, where a black clip against a white suede kippah is the detail that shows up in every photograph. Many of the fabric kippot in this range carry an eyelet set into the lining specifically to take a clip, so the two are meant to be bought together.
