Each link on this one is a triangle, and each triangle is worked with dots — small raised points that give the surface texture instead of a flat polished face. Joined into rows, the triangles form a zigzag rhythm down the length of the band, so the atarah reads as patterned even from the back of the shul. Width is set by rows. The three-row band is the narrowest and the easiest to wear on a standard wool tallis.
