Description
Design 1815BW runs 53.5 by 7.5 inches, cut for a bound lulav with the hadassim and aravos tied in. Nothing sticks out of the top when the set is inside, which is the single most useful thing a case does — the top of the lulav is what gets caught on doorframes and car roofs.
Aluminum lining is optional here. Lined, the interior holds moisture and the lulav stays fresh through Yom Tov; unlined, the case does its carrying and leaves the freshness to you. It is a yes-or-no choice made when you order rather than something that can be added afterwards.
Between the days of Yom Tov the case is also where the lulav rests, standing by the door or lying on a shelf out of reach of small hands. That is worth as much as the carrying: most damage to a lulav happens at home, in the hours between davenings, not on the walk to shul.
