Description
The 1819GB gives a bound lulav a full-length home at 53.5 by 7.5 inches. Length and width are both doing work here: the length covers the top of the lulav completely, and the width means the hadassim and aravos are not packed hard against the sides for the seven days they live inside.
The aluminum lining is a choice rather than a fixture. Ordered with it, the case holds the lulav's freshness deep into Yom Tov and takes the pressure off having to keep the set damp at home. Ordered without, it is a plain-interior case at the same size and the same design.
Sukkos is the one Yom Tov where a man carries something fragile through the street twice a day for a week, sometimes in rain, usually with a machzor and an esrog box in the other hand. A case at this level of build is what turns that from a nuisance into something you do not have to think about.
