Description
A full-length lulav case in design 1821, measuring 53.5 by 7.5 inches. It takes a complete bound lulav with the hadassim and aravos in place, with the top of the lulav sitting safely inside the case rather than standing out of it where it gets knocked.
Aluminum lining is offered as an option at ordering. With the lining, the case keeps the lulav fresh across the days of Yom Tov; without it, you have the same case with a plain interior. It is a small decision that changes how the set looks by Hoshana Rabbah, when a dried-out lulav is very obvious and a fresh one is not.
Design 1821 belongs with the heavier cases in the line, and it is built to be used hard: taken out before shacharis, opened and closed several times a day, laid on a bench, stood in a corner of the sukkah, and put away for eleven months without losing its shape. That is a lot to ask of a case, and this one is made for it.
