Description
Design 1821 gives the esrog a hard shell rather than a padded pouch. At 7.5 by 4 by 3.5 inches the case takes a full-size esrog with its padding, and because the sides do not compress, the fruit is never squeezed by whatever else is being carried at the same time.
Use it the way most people do: the esrog goes in before Yom Tov and stays in the case for the whole of Sukkos, coming out for the brocha and the na'anuim and going straight back afterwards. The snap-on handle makes the walk to shul a one-hand job, and detaching it turns the box into a flat case that sits quietly on a bench or a table between aliyos.
It is worth thinking about who carries it. A boy walking his own esrog to shul, or a father carrying two, both benefit from a case that cannot be crushed by a coat sleeve or a shtender. Design 1821 is built for exactly that daily handling across the seven days.
