Description
Navy, in the soft-sided 1850 build. The case measures 7.5 by 4 by 3.5 inches and holds the esrog in padding rather than behind rigid walls, so it is the lighter of the two ways to buy this design and the easier one to slip into a bag alongside a machzor.
The snap-on handle carries over here as well. It clips on for the short walk to shul and comes off again in your seat, leaving a flat, quiet case that does not slide around on a bench. There is nothing to select beyond the design itself; the size is set for a grown esrog.
Navy is the choice for a man whose bag, tallis bag and holders already run to that shade rather than black. The same 1850 case is made soft in black and hard-sided in both colors, and the design number carries into a matching megillah case for Purim, so a set can be built out over several years.
