Description
Black, soft-sided, 7.5 by 4 by 3.5 inches. The 1850 in this build is a padded case rather than a hard box, so it is light to carry and forgiving when it is packed, and black is the color that stays looking right through years of handling on Yom Tov mornings.
Like the rest of the range, it takes the snap-on handle: on for the walk, off once you sit down, at which point the case lies flat and takes up almost none of the space in front of you. The size is fixed and is meant for a full esrog with its padding around it.
The 1850 design is also made as a megillah case, which is worth remembering when you choose a number. And within 1850 itself there is a decision to make — this soft black case, the soft navy, or the hard-sided version of the same design for an esrog that gets carried further and handled more.
