Description
Black, full length, and lined in aluminum from the start: the 1850 lulav case measures 53.5 by 7.5 inches and comes with the stay-fresh lining already fitted. Black is the practical choice for something carried through the street twice a day for a week, since it does not show the marks that a lighter case picks up by the fourth day.
The lining is the reason to choose a case like this over a bare tube. It holds moisture around the bound set so the aravos and hadassim stay fresh through the whole of Sukkos rather than fading in the first days, and because it is built in, there is nothing to add at checkout.
The 1850 design also exists as a megillah case, which makes it a sensible number to settle on. The same case is made in navy if black is not the shade you want, and both are the identical build — only the color is different.
