Description
Design 1860 sits at the upper end of the hard esrog cases, and the build shows it. The case measures 7.5 by 4 by 3.5 inches, with walls that stay rigid so the esrog inside is never taking pressure from the outside, and it holds its form in a closet for eleven months of the year without sagging.
The snap-on handle comes with it. Clipped on it is a carrying case for the walk to shul; unclipped it is a flat box that sits in front of you through davening without getting in anyone's way. One size, one specification, no decisions to make beyond whether this is the design you want.
The 1860 number is also made up as a megillah case. That is a real reason to choose a number rather than just a case: a household that settles on 1860 can add the megillah case later and have a matched pair for two very different Yomim Tovim, bought years apart and still looking as though they came together.
