Lightweight Kittel with Shoulder Pads, Bekishe Fit #2109

The shoulder pads are the thing to look at on 2109. A kittel without them softens at the shoulder within a few seasons and starts to look like a coat draped over a hanger; with them the garment keeps its line year after year. That, plus the light weight of the cloth, is the entire design.

Cut in poly cotton and in linen, in chest sizes 34 through 48 and lengths small, medium, large and X-large. Because the shoulder is structured, the chest size does more work here than it would on an unstructured kittel: a size too big and the pad sits out past the shoulder bone, which shows from across the room immediately.

It is worth trying on over the jacket you intend to wear underneath. A kittel is the outermost layer, and a chest measurement taken over a shirt alone will read a full size small once a suit jacket is under it.
