Description
A flat matte cover with nothing printed across it beyond the title, modern in the plain sense of the word, offered in white or in grey. The booklet is square at 4.25 by 4.25 inches and runs to 64 pages, so it is compact in the hand without being short on what it holds.
The colour is your one choice. The nusach is not, because this is printed meshulav only, with Ashkenaz and Edut Mizrach combined in a single booklet, which is a genuine simplification at a table with guests from both. The lettering inside is set large and clean, and that is the reason this particular booklet gets bought for tables where older guests and young children are reading from the same page.
The matte finish is what separates it from the laminated squares. It does not throw candlelight back at you and fingerprints do not sit on the surface. Design #213 also works alongside lucite pieces; a clear holder with a stack of matte white booklets standing in it is about as plain and as deliberate as a Shabbos table gets.
