Burlap gives a kippah a coarse, dry, matte weave with no shine at all, which is exactly why it has become a standard for weddings and bar mitzvahs where sixty identical satin yarmulkes would look cheap. These are cut in six panels and finished with a white lining, and there is an eyelet worked into that lining so a clip has something proper to grip.

Twelve colours are listed, running from black, navy, royal and the two greys through ivory, white, lavender, pink, purple, turquoise and light blue. That range exists for matching — a kallah working to a colour scheme can usually find the shade she has already committed to. Buttons are available if you want a finished centre.
