Description
Eight benchers in lucite, printed on both sides and built to open from the side rather than the top — design #201, squared at 9.5 by 9.5 inches. Printing both faces means each panel carries more of birchas hamazon, so there is less flipping mid-bench and the type can stay generous. The set is finished with gold or with silver detailing, which is what ties it to whatever is already on the table.
Nusach is a real choice here and worth getting right: Ashkenaz or Eduth Mizrach, printed through the whole set of eight. Eight is the number that covers a normal Shabbos table with guests without anyone sharing, and the square format lies flat next to a plate instead of tipping over the way a booklet does. Lucite is the point — wine and challah crumbs come off with a cloth, and nothing dog-ears.
Design #201 also runs as a zemiros booklet and through the Chanukah line, so the same look can carry from Friday night bentschen into the eight nights without a mismatch on the table.
