Velvet Tallis & Tefillin Bag, 3D Column Canopy with Curtain #186

Design 186 combines both halves of the canopy motif: columns down each side and a curtain gathered between them, so the panel fills edge to edge instead of leaving velvet open in the middle. The curtain is stitched with folds that fall in different directions, and the raised work means the highlights shift as the bag turns in your hand.

Pick black or navy velvet and gold or silver embroidery, then the size. Four are cut: the 8.5x9.5 tefillin bag without stones, the 10x10.5 bar mitzvah tefillin, the 14x14 large talis bag and the 16x16 extra large. A boy keeping tefillin only wants the smaller two; the two large sizes are for a tallis, and 16x16 is the one to choose if the tallis has any bulk to it.

Prayer booklet covers are made in the same 186 design, so a bag and the booklets that travel with it can be ordered as a set in one colour and one thread.
