Description
The same 340 panel outline, this time stitched in silver thread on black velvet. Silver on black reads as a drawn line rather than a warm one, and the vertical panel comes across sharper and more architectural than it does in gold.
Sizes are 10.5 by 10 inches for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for a large talis bag and 16 by 16 for the extra large. This is the version to take if a man carries silver-toned tefillin clips or has a silver atarah on his tallis, since the tones match rather than sit awkwardly next to each other. The two larger sizes both hold a full tallis; 16 by 16 is the one with room to spare.
Between the gold and silver versions of 340 the layout is identical, so the choice is entirely about which metal the rest of his things follow.
