Description
White velvet panels break up the black on design 541. The two colours are set against each other directly with no thread between them, and the contrast is strong enough that the bag is easy to pick out of a rack of black bags on a shul bench — which is not a small thing in a crowded beis medrash.
It is offered in the bar mitzvah bag at 10.5 by 10 inches, the large talis bag at 14 by 14 and the extra large at 16 by 16. White velvet needs a little more care than black, so this is a design that suits a bag used mainly for Shabbos and Yom Tov rather than one thrown into a knapsack five mornings a week.
The white also sits naturally with a kittel during the Yomim Noraim, which is when a lot of these get bought.
